Briefly about the tour. This tour is for people who are ready to conquer new heights every day and receive unforgettable emotions from Altai.

The number of people in a group – minimum 7 people. No age limit. Children under 14 years must be accompanied by adults.

August 19, August 26, September 2 (Turquoise Katun: in autumn the water of the mountain river Katun becomes unusually turquoise in color with golden mountains on background. Greenish sandstone and clear water without impurities and sediment with mainly spring feed causes this unique phenomenon)

Tour schedule:

Day 1

Meeting in Barnaul: airport, railway station, hotels of the city (upon confirming). Transfer Barnaul – Srostki (210 km), a birthplace of Vasily Shukshin, the famous writer, actor and film director. Pedestrian walk to Mount Picket – local attraction – the monument to the writer, where the annual Russian national festival “Shukshin readings in Altai” is held. Transfer Srostki – Lower Katun, Manzherok (100 km). Manzherok – the name of a lake with relict nut chillim, a village and a ski resort. Accommodation. Riding up to the mount Sinyukha by chairlift. (optional at extra charge). Dinner.

Day 2

Breakfast. Trekking to the rock “The Thumb of the Devil”, which got its name thanks to a very peculiar ledge resembling a thumb. Trekking up the trail you will see a magnificent panorama of the mountains and the Katun River, that opens from each observation point. Returning to the tourist complex. Dinner.

Day 3

Breakfast. Transfer Lower Katun – Turquoise Katun (220 km) – the largest tourism center, which includes a warm artificial lake for swimming and fishing, restaurants, tourist complexes, ski slopes, an extreme entertainment park, art gallery, an array of Tavdinsky caves, an apiary. Visiting Tavdinsky caves (entrance ticket). Taldinsky caves – a bright attraction of the Altai Territory. The entire cave complex has several dozen caves, many of which have several entrances and are connected to each other, forming a large interconnected system in which it is easy to get lost. Tavdinsky caves are known for the fact that at different times they served as housing for humans. During excavations, pottery and other archaeological findings dating back to the early Iron and Bronze Ages were discovered in them. Excursion to the apiary, tasting Altaian honey, sleeping on the hives. Transfer Turquoise Katun – Lower Katun (40 km). On request: horse riding (extra charge). Dinner.

Day 4

Breakfast. On request: excursion to the Karakol lakes (extra charge – from 2400 rubles / person) (110 km) or hiking to the nearby mountains, bike rides. Trekking along the Karakol lakes – a group of seven high-altitude lakes located on the western slope of the Izholo ridge, which is a watershed of the Biya and Katun rivers. Transfer to the tourist complex (110 km). Dinner.

Day 5

Breakfast. Transfer Lower Katun – Chemal (90 km). An excursion to Chemal, to the island of Patmos – one of the most beautiful places in the Altai Mountains. The only way to the island of Patmos is the suspension bridge connecting the cliffs of the island with the cliffs on the banks of the Katun. Trekking along the upper “goat path”. On request: bungee jump, which allows the extremals to fly freely over the Chemal river (extra charge). Rafting with the passage of the “Seminsky” rapid (2–3 category of complexity) and a visit to the Kamyshlinsky Waterfall formed on the Kamyshla River – the left tributary of the Katun, consists of two cascades 12 m high. Rafting with the passage of the rapids “Muninsky” (2–3 c.c.) and “Manzherok” (2-3 c.c.). Transfer to the tourist complex (40 km). Dinner.

Day 6

Breakfast. Transfer Lower Katun – Belokurikha (100 km). The photostop on the Biryuksinsky Pass. That is not a very high pass of the Seminsky Range, from which opens a picturesque panorama to the forest-steppe foothills of Altai. According to local beliefs the top point of this pass is considered to be a “place of power.” A visit to the new resort Belokurikha Gornaya (40 km) – the neighboring resort, which is under construction, but already offers the most unique road in Russia: 12 serpentine rings over 8 km. At the top of the road are several art objects (a five-meter chair with a thinker, a cart with pencils, a stupa of Medicine), the estate-museum of Andreevskaya Sloboda, the tavern named Gogol. Trekking to “Ogorodchiki” or “Ambarchiki” – a picturesque rock complex, unique geological features with excellent panorama for photo-shooting. Transfer to the tourist complex (40 km). Dinner.

Day 7

Breakfast. Free time shopping for souvenirs. Transfer Belokurikha – Barnaul (230 km). Walking city tour around “metallurgical Barnaul” with the visit to the observation deck of Nagorny Park, the embankment and “Arbat” of Barnaul as well as the museum and restaurant “Gornaya Apteka”. On foot – 3 km, auto – 230 km

In case the tourist is being late or does not appear at a scheduled time and a place for the group gathering, the Agency is not responsible for the full implementation of the schedule and no costs of this tour day are refunded. Attention! When visiting active monasteries and temples, women should avoid wearing trousers and shorts. A headdress is required.

Recommended clothing: A set of outfits for leisure and travel, a windproof and waterproof jacket, a warm sweater, two pairs of comfortable shoes, lightweight slippers for hotels, sun protection (cream, glasses, headdress), personal hygiene items.
